Going Green
As TV channels, the company I work for, and environmentally-inclined Americans "go green," I think it is only fair that the weather should do the same.
Seriously. Last year at this time it was 80. People, I could wear a swimsuit if it were 80. Not that I would, but it would be a possibility.
In contrast, this morning I put on my winter coat. That's right, I backtracked from the spring coat to the winter coat. Not a pleasant thing. I also wore a hat. A HAT! I stopped wearing hats somewhere in February, but was forced to pull it out today. Right now, CCO is telling me it's a stunning 34, and that if we're lucky, it might read 39.
Come on, global warming. Where are you now? I should be donning a swimsuit, frolicking in the warm water of melted ice caps.
I keep reminding myself that at some point, the tilt and position of the earth (I'm foggy on the details...science eludes me) will make it impossible to drop below freezing during mid-day, but I'm having a hard time believing myself.
Spring (real spring, not Calendar-enforced spring), you can't come soon enough!

Kate! I couldn't agree more. I am so sick of winter! Just yesterday, it was nice and brown outside; there was seriously no snow. Now, today, I faced death as my car literally slid the entire way to school on ice.
